With a season like this it would be a crime not to name the rejuvanated Jaromir Jagr the 2005-2006 NHL Hart Trophy Winner . Jagr is in the top 3 offensive categories the league has to offer , he is first in Goals with 52 , he is second in Assists with 62 and first in Points with 114 . To add to the Fabulous stats , He is the reason the Rangers are in a playoff position and battling for the Atlantic Division Title . He has participated in 114 of his Team's 238 goals for , that means that he is resposible of about 50% of his team's goals !!! This year he has been the symbol of domination , heart and leadership starting from the moment he refused the Captain Status to the Moment he scored his 52nd goal . Jaromir will finaly regain his
All-Star status when he regains the honor of the trophy he has already won once with the Penguins but this time , will win it with a team who plays at home in the biggest City in the World , New York .

Ortiz nearing contract extension ???

Sources say that the ''Big Papi '' is close to notching a 4-year , 50 million dollar contract Extension with the Bean Town Sox . Ortiz had his best career year in 2005 finishing 2nd in AL MVP voting behind Alex Rodriguez who ultimately won the Title . Ortiz batted .300 while having 47 Homers and 148 ribbies . If this Extension happens i will write a more complete article on the matter , for the time being , this is just a rumor .

King Roenick breaks ankle in L.A.

Kings F Jeremy Roenick broke his ankle in Saturday 24ths game against the Preds . Roenick injured himself during the half of the 2nd period , yesterday . This Injury will end his season , a miserable debut with the Kings for the 36-year old all-star veteran that had started his career in Chicago and with who he sustained his last 50 goal and 107 points season . I also wouldn't be surprised if Roenick would be on the move since the Kings after firing their Head Coach this week , would like to get rid of Old and Injury Prone players .

Crosby the Man or the Child ???

Even though being criticized by Ottawa Forward Daniel Alfredsson this month , Sidney Crosby hasn't called an assembly to criticize Alfredsson and tell him to shut his trap , no he has behaved like a man and maybe not accepted the criticizm but not criticized back at Alfredsson like im sure the Sens' Captain would of done if Crosby had criticized him . This to say that Crosby , over the present season , has matured from a QJMHL Legend into an NHL Star and should not be considered an NHL Child but a Man like the rest of the NHL players are by others . I am also sick of the Ottawa Senator's attitude (EX : Hasek's criticizm of Montreal before the Olympic Break and Alfredsson's present comments) , they think they are the best because for one season they haven't been in a bankrupcy problem or been loosing and because they have now clinched a playoff spot . Let me remind you Senators that you have not won a stanley in your Whole franchise history and shouldn't criticize a team like the Montreal Canadiens who have the most Stanley Cup wins of all the Past and Current NHL Franchises . All this to say that Sid The Man is now an NHL star and shouldn,t be underestimated .

Cowboys signing BIG in Offseason

The Dallas Cowboys have started the offseason BIG signing All-Star and Bad Boy Terrell Owens to a 3-year , 25 Million $ Contract with a 5-Million $ signing Bonus and Kicker Mike Vanderjagt to a 3-year 5.4 Million $ Contract with an included 2.5 Million $ Signing Bonus . Gosh , these are big signings that could help the Cowboys get back in the race for the Super Bowl Championship , but this Franchise has to take care of their RB problem and get a better one before the trading deadline and , there , they could be a serious Threat for the SP Championship if they are in a Playoff Position , of course .

King James still shinning in NBA land

King James is one of the most interesting players in the whole National Basketball League , next to Kobe Bryant and Dwyane Wade even though LeBron is more of a ''natural'' star. Just seem him go , he doesn't even break a sweat on the court but he still manages to average 30 points per game , 7 rebounds per game and 42 minutes on the court , per game What an athlete that is LeBron James at only age 21 !!!

Goalie Roloson not fairing too well in Edmonton

Since Minnesota literally dumped Roloson in Edmonton , he is failing to low expectations upholding a 2-6 record with the playoff underdogs that are the Edmonton Oilers . Even if Kevin Lowe put all his trust in Roloson and thought that he still was an elite goalie even after having a tough season with the wild , Roloson has badly disapointed leaving the Oilers on the verge of missing the playoffs . But Lowe's worst move was to place Goalie Mike Morrison on waivers wich left the Oilers' best goalie go to Ottawa instead of keeping him and making him Roloson's backup if he failed , wich happened , of course . But Lowe's Trading Deadline was not only limited with bad moves , but with one good one , the acquisition of F Sergei Samsonov of the Boston Bruins wich he had been set even more low expectations than Roloson but surprinsingly had completed them within his first game , all this to say that Roloson is a total failure in Edmonton .

MLB Player of the Week

Cincinatti Red's young gun Edwin Encarnacion is this week's MLB player of the week .
Can you imagine what it is having to be the starting 3rd Basemen for the Reds at age 22 ??? And the best part about it is that Encarnacion isn't fairing too too badly in Spring Training leading the league in Hits with 22 , having 6 HRs and 18 RBIs in only 49 ABs , WOW !!! He also maintained a .449 in these 49 ABs as a Red and he is not on the verge of cooling down , Edwin is this week's MLB Player of the Week .

Soriano seeking a trade

2b (and not OF) Alfonso Soriano is now seeking a trade with his agent Diego Bentz . The dominican star is searching to be acquired by a team that would let him regain his original 2b position with no drama like the Nationals welcomed him and forced him to play in the OutField.
The latest who has come to my attention is a Soriano/Mets Trade Rumor that would send him to the Big Apple for 2b but original SS Kazuo Matsui and OF Victor Diaz to the Nats. But a CIN/WAS with Soriano in it has also arrose to my attention , it would send Soriano to the Reds for veteran OF Ken Griffey Jr. but this deal is surprising to even talk about.
